Trash Collection

OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management. Garbage will be picked up every Tuesday morning at the curb. A 95-gallon tote with wheels, a handle and an attached lid is provided for your convenience. Please position metal handle toward street for mechanized pick-up. Additional 95-gallon totes may be rented from Rumpke for a small monthly charge. To request additional totes, contact Rumpke at 502-568-3800.

Rumpke observes six holidays each year:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Day

If the scheduled Tuesday pick-up occurs on one of these days, Rumpke will pick up garbage on Wednesday instead.

Recycling Collection

OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management for recycling services. Pick-up will be every other Tuesday morning, with one recycling container per household provided under our contract. Additional recycling containers may be rented from Rumpke for a small monthly charge.

Yard Waste Collection

OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management for yard waste collection services. Pick-up will be every Tuesday morning from the first Tuesday in March through the first Tuesday in December. Additional yard waste pick-ups will occur on the second Tuesday of January and February. Christmas tree pick-up will be available on the our regular trash pick-up dates in January

Residents will be responsible for providing their own yard waste containers. Limbs and sticks larger than 4 feet must be bundled together with rope or twine. Paper yard waste containers are also acceptable.

Police Service

OBP police service is provided by the Lyndon Police Department – (502) 327-2677.

Fire Service

OBP fire service is provided by the Anchorage/Middletown Fire & EMS Station 7. To report a fire, call the fire department at 502-241-9366 or simply dial 911.

Old Brownsboro Place City Taxes

OBP residents pay annual property taxes to cover costs such as trash collection, yard waste disposal, recycling, road maintenance, maintenance of common areas and police patrol service. Animal Control

OBP abides by existing Metro Louisville regulations regarding animal control. Residents are required to keep pets under control and on a leash when they are outside of a fenced yard.

Deed Restrictions

OBP has a limited number of deed restrictions. Residents are encouraged to connect here to review these deed restrictions, particularly as they apply to the erection of privacy fences.

On-Street Parking Restrictions

OBP residents, family members and guests are not allowed to park vehicles on public roadways for more than 24 hours without prior approval of the Mayor. Violators will be asked to move vehicles and may be towed if the parking continues.

Rental Properties

OBP discourages homeowners from long-term rental of homes in the neighborhood. Homeowners contemplating the rental of a home in the neighborhood must fill out the Property Rental Form and return it to the Mayor each year prior to January 1. Click here for Rental Form.
