Trash Collection

  • OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management for Trash collection.
  • Trash will be picked up every Tuesday morning at the curb.
  • It is recommend to place the Rumpke trash cart by the curb on Monday after 6PM and removed before 6PM on Tuesday.
  • A 95-gallon trash cart (opens in new tab) with wheels, a handle and an attached lid is provided for your convenience.
  • Please position the metal handle towards the street for mechanized pick-up.
  • Additional 95-gallon trash bins may be rented from Rumpke for a small monthly charge.
  • To request an additional trash bin please contact Rumpke at 502-568-3800.

Recycling Collection

  • OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management for Recycling collection (opens in new tab).
  • Pick-up will be every other Tuesday morning, with one recycling container per household provided under our contract.
  • Additional recycling containers may be rented from Rumpke for a monthly charge.

Yard Waste Collection

  • OBP currently contracts with Rumpke Waste Management for Yard Waste collection (opens in new tab).
  • Pick-up will be every Tuesday morning from the first Tuesday in March through the first Tuesday in December.
  • Additional Yard Waste pick-ups will occur on the second Tuesday of January and February.
  • Christmas tree pick-up will be available on the our regular trash pick-up dates in January.
  • Residents will be responsible for providing their own yard waste containers.
  • Limbs and sticks larger than 4 feet must be bundled together with rope or twine.
  • Paper yard waste containers are also acceptable.

Rumpke Waste Management Holiday Schedule

  • Rumpke Trash/Recycling/Yard Waste collection is affected by six holidays (opens in new tab) each year:
    • New Year’s Day
    • Memorial Day
    • Independence Day (July 4)
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Christmas Day
  • If the scheduled Tuesday pick-up occurs on one of these days, then Rumpke will pick-up on Wednesday instead.

  • OBP police service is provided by the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Old Brownsboro Place City Taxes

  • OBP residents pay annual property taxes to cover costs such as trash, yard waste , recycling collections; road maintenance, maintenance of common areas.

Deed Restrictions

On-Street Parking Restrictions

  • OBP residents, family members and guests are not allowed to park vehicles on public roadways for more than 24 hours without prior approval of the Mayor.
  • Violators will be asked to move vehicles and may be towed if the parking continues.

Rental Properties

  • OBP discourages homeowners from long-term rental of homes in the neighborhood.
  • Homeowners contemplating the rental of a home in the neighborhood must fill out the Property Rental Form and return it to the Mayor each year prior to January 1.
